Full-Time IT Security and Disaster Recovery Manager
Job Description
Salary: R550,000 per annum (neg)
Availability: ASAP
Suitably qualified and experienced individual to take responsibility for information security and disaster recovery
Minimum Requirements:
Relevant IT Degree/Diploma
ITILv3
CISM/CISSP
CoBIT advantageous
Minimum5 years’ experience in information security and disaster recovery
Excellent written and verbal skills
Job Responsibilities:
Information Security
Develop and implement a successful Information Security Programme
Ensure timeous and effective resolution of security and compliance related requests
Develop and maintain the relevant policies, standards and procedures
Identify and manage IT security concerns
Ensure compliance with existing laws and regulations
Ensure effective communication with all key stakeholders
Deploy measures, systems and processes to increase the security posture
Facilitate, and promote activities to create information security awareness
Assess and detect vulnerabilities and ensure security is designed into the IT Infrastructure
Provide guidance and input into the technology selection process
Provided input and guidance for security related initiatives such as PKI, IAM, encryption, DLP and other
Ensure good governance and adoption of industry best practices
Prepare input/reporting for relevant reporting structures
Disaster Recovery
Develop and implement a successful DR Strategy in line with Business requirements
Conduct BIA/RTO determination for each business unit
Ensure the development, maintenance and implementation of DR plans standards, procedures
Organise and Manage recovery testing within the EPMO framework
Liaise and collaborate with IT functional area owners and Business representatives to identify the business operations, processes, and technologies required in building and maintaining optimal recovery plans
Conduct post testing exercises
Ensure appropriate approvals and sign-off
Ensure that the contingency site is in a constant state of readiness in line with the DR plans
Risk Management
Assist with the Risk Management process
Ensure risk mitigation strategies are employed in all areas of responsibility
Budgets
Timeously identify items to be budgeted for
Prepare and capture budgets on the relevant portal
Ensure appropriate usage and governance over approved budgets.
