Full-Time IT Demand Manager
Job Description
We are looking to recruit a permanent IT Demand Manager – Selling to work within the Group IT department. The role will be based at Head Office in Cape Town and will report to the Group Head of IT.
Job Purpose:
The main purpose of the job is to make it easier to get things done by translating and effectively managing the Selling (Store operations, Pharmacy, and Marketing/ClubCard) business demand into workable process and IT business solutions that add lasting benefit to the business and support the Clicks Group business strategies.
Job Objectives:
· To identify opportunities with key stakeholders to enable Business Improvement.
· To develop sound business cases that enables workable solutions (process and system) within Selling.
· To ensure that the Selling project and change pipeline is realistic and taking overall accountability for delivery according to the business promise.
· To ensure effective change management to enable optimal business benefit.
· To provide functional expertise and best practice business process guidance within Selling.
· To provide clear business strategy for key applications within Selling.
· To manage the relationship between the business and IT for Selling and to move IT from ‘order taker’ to ‘order shaper’.
· To ensure commercial benefit is achieved with new contracts and services.
Qualifications and Experience:
· Relevant B degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering or Computer Science (essential).
· Demonstrable experience of negotiating and setting priorities across diverse technical and business stakeholders interests.
· Experience of acting as Senior Business Analyst and/or Project Manager on a number of complex business change and IT initiatives.
· Proven experience of business functional understanding, in the Retail, Pharmacy and Marketing business areas likely to have been obtained within the retail, pharmacy or FMCG environments.
· 5 Years Project or Programme Management experience (essential).
· 5 Years exposure to Business Analysis and business case development.
· 5 Years of Business Process improvement exposure for Retail, Pharmacy or FMCG business areas (essential).
Skills, Abilities and Job Related Knowledge:
· Strong knowledge of recognised project management methodologies (e.g. PMBOK or Prince2).
· Knowledge of selling systems (e.g. POS, EFT) with a strong background in CRM and Data Analytics and/or eCommerce/Mobile initiatives.
· Reporting systems and Scorecard/KPI’s development.
· Financial and/or Management Accounting.
· IT strategy development.
· Communicating with and gaining buy-in from senior management.
· Vendor management and contract negotiation.
· Business acumen and commercial thinking.
· Leadership and people management skills, ability to delegate.
· Integrity/honesty.
· Networking skills and ability to influence others.
· Ability to differentiate between strategic and operational issues.
· Ability to negotiate and make trade off’s in decision making.
· Planning and organising with strong strategic planning skills.
