Educational: |
Bachelors Degree in Commerce/Science or equivalent qualification |
|
Experiential: |
Minimum 5 years experience in General Management in textiles/carpet/tufting and automotive industry |
|

Financial Management: |
Approve business unit budget |
|
Establish and maintain control structures to ensure actual spend is within budget and approve all spend outside of budget |
|
|
Review business unit Income Statement and liase with Finance for any necessary accruals/adjustments |
|
|
Achieve Net Operating Profit |
|
|
Practice good Corporate Governance |
|
|
Initiate requests for CAPEX |
|
|
Adhere to Financial Policies and Procedures |
|
|
Quality Management System |
Oversee the management of the Manufacturing, Maintenance, Industrial Engineering, and Quality Systems |
|
SHE |
Manage the Continuous Improvement and promote the understanding, use and application of the SHE Management System |
|
Customer Relations |
1. Manage relationships with key customers |
|
2. Meet customer requirements by controlling product throughput and quality |
|
|
Supplier Relations |
1. Manage relationships with key suppliers |
|
2. Identify opportunities for improvements with key suppliers |
|
|
Material Management |
1. Manage WIP and reduction of waste in accordance to set budget targets |
|
2. Manage stock and consumption of all materials focussing on the reduction of scrap, excess and consumables in line with budget values |
|
|
Manufacturing Strategy |
Develop the Manufacturing tactical plans for the business unit |
|
Manufacturing Management |
Deliver operational results in accordance with the budget |
|
Planning |
Advise Planning on optimisation of Production Plans (Change-over, production runs, etc.) |
|
Production |
Ensure the optimal and efficient use of resources |
|
Engineering Projects |
Approve Engineering Project Plans and Schedules |
|
Tooling |
Approve new tooling (Development and Quality) |
|
Continuous Improvement |
1. Benchmark Manufacturing and Maintenance processes against Best Practices |
|
2. Keep up to date with latest trends/developments in manufacturing technology and make recommendations for improvements |
|
|
People Management |
Mobilise the people within the business unit to achieve organisational objectives |
