An outstanding opportunity exists for a Superintendent Operational Safety role in the HSE Department.
The Role
Reporting to the Manager HSE, the successful incumbent will be responsible for facilitating the implementation of leading safety management programmes at RUL to ensure compliance with legal requirement and international standards, establish long-range and specifying the strategies and actions to achieve the set goals, provide technical guidance, support and management of safety programs and standards through coaching, training and monitoring, conduct safety inspections and investigations of violations and incidents, analyze and evaluate safety incident data and information, manage resources (human and financial) and communicate with RT and other external and internal stakeholders
Minimum Requirements
•Bachelor Degree in Environmental Management or Occupational Health and Safety
•Five (5) years working experience in the field of HSE of which 3 years should have been in a supervisory capacity.
•Knowledge and experience in risk management, ISO 14001 or OHSAS 18001
•Knowledge and experience in incident investigation
•Ability to use root cause process - advantage
•Formal Training or Certification as an auditor to perform HSE audits.
•Code 08 drivers license
