Palabora Mining Company, a member of the Rio Tinto Group, is situated in the Ba – Phalaborwa area of Limpopo and is the only major copper producer from an open pit mine in the area. We also produce anode slimes, magnetite, sulphuric acid, uranium concentrates and vermiculite.

Positions: The Superintendent Products & Dams will be responsible and accountable for the efficient and effective running of the Concentrator Products & Dams section and Engineer Maintenance Workshopp will be reponsible for the effective running and maintenance of the workshop.

Requirements:

*N Dip Eng / B. Eng./ BSc Degree – Mechanical or Electrical Engineering *Government Certificate of Competency (GCC) is essential *5 to 10 years Proven operations maintenance experience *Minimum of 5 years experience in maintenance of plant equipment ( concentrator/ workshop) *Working knowledge of SAP would be an added advantage *Excellent leadership – providing direction, motivation and development of team members *Ability to command credibility at all levels *Strong relationship building and management skills – teamwork, integrity and tenacity *Ability to provide strategic plant, people and process analysis and advice *Highly motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team *Strong technical skills and experience. *Understand and be able to implement the principles and tools of continuous improvement *Budgetary control and project management capabilities *Energy, drive and initiative *Ability to be decisive under pressure *A safety champion
