ISEB Foundation certificate in Software testing ideally
Skills Required:
• Contribute to and attend Pre-Planning meetings – including writing and agreement of acceptance tests.
• Contribute to and attend Planning Games – including estimation where appropriate.
• Work closely with Product owners, business analysts and development to ensure detail of stories is sufficient.
• Communicate progress against plan for any work assigned.
• Assist in setup and maintenance of the test data and provide input to the environment requirements to enable testing to take place.
• Work with developers to ensure that the acceptance and unit tests are complete and appropriate and that all scenarios have been identified.
• Create, review, execute and maintain manual tests in order to meet the expected results.
• Automate as many of the tests as possible. Maintain these automated tests.
• Execute any exploratory testing which may be necessary.
• Non functional testing (including performance, security, network and disaster recovery), create, review, execute, maintain or assist in such tasks as appropriate.
• Follow the defect identification and reporting process in order to maintain quality of product.
• Ensure integration tests are identified and executed.
• Identification of issues, risks, dependencies and blockers, escalating to Scrum Master and managing where appropriate.
• Participate in showcases, and present new products to audiences including senior business stakeholders.
• Ensuring appropriate risks/issues are highlighted and the business are satisfied with deliverables.
• Contribute to and attend Retrospectives.
• Act as a role model and coach to other members of the team.
• Ensure compliance to any internal, external, or regulatory standards.
• Maintain internal / external relationships to ensure quality and required standards are met and maintained.
The above are the core responsibilities for this role however there is an expectation of professional ownership as part of a Product Team which requires one to work outside the framework when appropriate.

A UK based leading web development and agile consultancy that specialise in agile and test-driven Ruby on Rails development for large organisations, have recently opened a new office in Cape Town and are looking for a good tester to take up a permanent position.
To contribute to delivering a project within an agile framework. A core role for the product team, the test analyst can expect to undertake estimation, execution and defect management activities. They will have [or have the ability to gain] knowledge of testing in an agile environment in line with the way they have applied the methodology and tools being used.
