Job Description:
A UK based leading web development and agile consultancy who specialise in agile and test-driven Ruby on Rails development for large organisations have recently opened a new office in Cape Town, and are looking for a good front end developer to take up a permanent position.
The role will mainly be developing HTML, CSS and Javascript to implement designs provided as psds. Some of these designs may be quite dynamic and require JavaScript to implement. Additionally, the role may also include some work in Ruby on Rails on the back end. As stated above, prior experience in Rails is not a must, but a willingness to learn is expected.
The ideal candidate should be self-motivated and have an interest in producing solutions which do not only work, but are elegant and of a high standard. We do not adhere closely to strict job descriptions, and the candidate must be willing to step up and learn things outside of their immediate expertise. A desire to learn and stay on top of emerging technologies is essential
