We are seeking an Account Development Manager for the development and closing of inbound new business opportunities. The successful candidate will be a skilled and credible sales professional selling a sophisticated collection of best of breed marketing technologies to Marketing Directors. The role is focussed purely on new business and is suited to people who are ‘sales hungry’ and can exploit their exceptional sales skills with effective and successful results.
Key objectives:
-Drive revenue for the European market through leads generated in Salesforce
-Manage and drive the Omniture Sub Contracted relationship
-Responsible for securing new business
Reporting and Management Structures:
-You will form part of the European Sales team and report to the Business Director based in London
-You will also work closely with the Product Directors and Technical Account Manager’s based in Cape Town
Responsibilities:
-Lead Registration
Possess drive, motivation and acute attention to detail in ensuring all sales opportunities to business are captured and explored
Manage and maintain a pipeline and ensuring all sales administration is current using SalesForce.com
-Lead Routing
Correctly allocate and route leads to appropriate resources within organisation using specified guidelines
Route complex sales involving multiple technologies OR customized solutions to in-market resources
A successful candidate will be responsible for managing app 80% of incoming leads while 20% will be routed to other organisation resources
-Lead Qualification
Presenting Acceleration products to clients through direct, but remote communication (Desktop sharing, telephone, IM)
Determining if leads can be converted into Opportunities according to qualification methodology
-Closing Sales
Actively and successfully manage the sales process: lead registration; credentials pitch; asking questions; negotiation; close; handover to the account management team
Develop new business relationships, generate and negotiate new income for business to an agreed annual target
Review and identify opportunities to cross-sell/upsell to the existing client base
Create and be accountable for all client proposals, contracts and any further documentation ensuring that they follow organisation’s procedure
-Omniture Sub-Contracted
Administrative (Obtain lead from Omniture (approve and reject collaborating with Web Analytics Director); Sign Contract and PO- 1. send to finance, 2. input to Salesforce)
Close out to completion- to Omniture (Strategic goals; Optimize the process; Upsell if there are new outside Omniture opportunities Bring in-market resources when necessary; Maximize profitability)
-General
Maintain accurate and timely forecast that is kept up to date as the opportunity progresses through the sales cycle
Requirements:
-A tertiary qualification
-A proven track record of exceptional sales success in meeting and exceeding sales goals
-A minimum of three years of relevant industry experience
-Have a thorough understanding of clients marketing objectives including their Return On Investment (ROI) objectives
-Must have experience with enterprise level digital marketing technologies
-Multi-lingual/ European sales experience a plus (French and Spanish)
-Experience with Salesforce.com is a positive attribute
-Prior experience with Omniture or ExactTarget is an advantage but not necessarily required
